2017 Mayor’s Fall Cleanup is coming soon!

The 2017 Mayor’s Fall Cleanup is Saturday October 28, 2017. Here are a few ways you can help:

Clean your property, your block or volunteer to pick up trash along Druid Park Dr.

  • Starting the Week Before – Saturday Oct.21.
  • We can deliver trash bags to your doorstep the 21st which allows time to work at your own schedule.
  • Either leave your bags for your regular trash pickup on Wednesday or on Saturday, Oct. 28 drop the filled bags at our Community Pick-Up Spot – Parkdale and Druid Park Drive (south side of tree)
    You must pre-register for early bags by Friday, Oct. 20th.

Volunteer on Clean up Day – Saturday October 28 at 9 am

Meet in Woodberry Park (the amphitheater) at 9am to tackle some beautification projects or to receive supplies to collect litter. WCA representatives will be in the park until 1pm. “Problem Spots” that would benefit from a dedicated volunteer effort: The Woodberry Sign, Rockrose Park, Rockrose Ave at the cable anchor, and the trees and vines on the north side of Girard.

Students, this is a great way to get community service hours! We can also help you apply for water bill credits that the city provides to Clean-Up Volunteers.

Dumpster schedule for Nov and Dec 2013

After a long hiatus, the dumpster is returning to Woodberry!

  • Nov 16, Parkdale and Girard Ave, 8am-12 noon (times are approximate)
  • Dec 28, Rockrose and Hooper Ave, 8am-12 noon (times are approximate)

This is for residents only. Please, no:

  • Furniture, tires, appliances (call 311 for bulk trash pickup)
  • Household Hazardous Waste- city has special days for this
  • Contractor dumping- please go to dump instead.

Respect the dumpster and nearby residents- don’t overfill, leave trash outside of it, and keep the door closed when it’s getting full. Thanks!
